Touring through Wales - Snowdonia

Blaenau Ffestiniog was intriguing but we continued north, leaving the mountains of slate behind us. The next thing to catch our eye was a fortress ruin on top of a hill. The Prince of Gwynedd, Llywelyn the Great, was said to have been born at Toman Castell on this site around 1172.
